The Seven Oaks Media Group is currently looking for hard-working and detail-oriented interns. We typically hire recent college graduates or college juniors and seniors from the Washington, D.C., area who have experience in communications, public relations, and/or journalism. All interns are paid and will be rewarded with real-world job experience, meaningful responsibilities, and flexible hours.

We are looking for candidates who are strong writers and researchers; precise and detail-oriented; prompt and dependable; exhibit strong phone and interpersonal skills, and are proficient in all the major social-media platforms.

Duties may include:

• Drafting press releases

• Developing media plans 

• Deep research

• Composing daily social media content and analyzing web and social-media metrics

• Preparing email pitch notes for reporters and calling major news organizations

• Writing media-monitoring reports for clients

• Compiling contact lists; creating and updating databases
